A tour of the "Botteghe" is something that you can't miss in Florence, because they are part of the history of the city since the 13th century. The Bottega was a workshop where the master craftmen produced their hand-made goods and taught to the youngers how to do it. Artists like Leonardo da Vinci, Giotto and Michelangelo started as apprentice in a local Bottega. Still today it is possible to admire masterpieces, such as leather goods, paper making, decoration and a lot more along the streets visiting the artisan's studios.
